Christmas 2010

Christmas 2010 was another year of firsts for us. The most exciting "first" was being a family of four this year. Reilly slept through just about everything though...but still just the experience of dressing the girls in matching pajamas (thanks Mom), wrapping up gifts for both girls, packing them both up to go to Kokomo on Christmas Eve, and even looking forward to next Christmas when they are both able to enjoy it together made this year really special. It was also our first Christmas in our first home! Such a blessing to enjoy this time of year here together.

We started out the celebrations this year in Kokomo on Christmas Eve. We had lunch, opened gifts, and just hung out the rest of the afternoon into the evening until it was time to head home. Halle had a blast, despite have zero interest in her gifts. She was just thrilled to run around and check out what everyone else was doing. It was nice that she was able to see 4 of her 6 six cousins and 4 of 6 aunts and uncles as well. And of course Gramma and Grampa are always a big hit with Halle. Reilly had a rough start to the day...I think due to some trapped air in her belly, but once she got that worked out and had a little nap, she was good to go. :)

Christmas morning started off by Halle eating breakfast and opening her stocking in her high chair. We learned on Christmas Eve that we'd have to restrain her in order for her to keep her attention on opening presents, or else she'd just run around content to play with her old toys. hah!

After Christmas at our house in the morning, we went to my Mamaw and Papaw's house like we do every year for breakfast (which has turned into brunch) and more presents. We have homemade egg mcmuffins (which i realize shouldn't have the "mc" since they are homemade), and these amazing fruit pastries with icing. Yum!

Papaw got a cell phone. :) Obviously this is funny and exciting to everyone. haha.

Most of the time, again, Halle was more interested in other things...like the dog, Zoey, or even just handing out gifts to other people.

And when the food had been eaten, and gifts were opened, the traditional napping commenced.
